Mike Morrison

It's Friday again! That means time to talk about another first show. This week we talked to Mike Morrison about the first show he ever played.

“I can't say for sure but I believe the first ever show I played as a band was the Sydney Academy variety show in 1990 when I was 15. My first band was a 3 piece instrumental band. We had no name but they put us in the program as “The Mike Morrison Trio” which still makes me cringe”

Over the years we've seen MIke in many bands, Sunfish, and Mastodon Ridge to name a few, but now we mainly see him playing drums in Fire Valley Fire.

“I remember the sound of the very supportive crowd being a major thrill as we finished and I guess I was hooked after that. It was an amazing experience looking back on it now. Playing music is an incredible, almost indescribable feeling and I think that's where it started for me.”
